BestSprouts Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Our Mission
BestSprouts covers fresh produce, agriculture, and commodities for growers, traders, and buyers. Every story is framed to answer not just what happened, but what it means for the next link in the supply chain.
Editorial Independence
Our editorial coverage is not for sale. Companies cannot pay for coverage, a favorable mention, or any influence over which stories we run. What gets covered is decided by relevance to growers, traders, and buyers, never by who is paying for a placement elsewhere on the site.
BestSprouts is supported by:
-
Paid article placements. Companies can pay to publish an announcement, product update, or market news on the site. These are always labeled as a placement, distinct from our own editorial coverage.
-
Newsletter and LinkedIn sponsorships. Sponsors can appear in the newsletter or on our LinkedIn channel. These are always marked as sponsored.
-
Display advertising. Banner ads run alongside our content and are visually distinct from it.
Every reader gets the same core coverage for free, regardless of which companies choose to advertise.
Our Standards
- Sponsored and placement content is always labeled as such and never presented as editorial coverage.
- Companies cannot buy editorial coverage or influence story selection.
- Legal proceedings are reported using precise legal language. We report what a court has ruled, not what we assume it means.
- When we get something wrong, we correct it and note that a correction was made.
